Windows Update:

• In Internet Explorer, select Tools from the menu 
• Select Windows Update 
• Install all Security and Critical patches

Configure Windows Update to Run Automatically

• Navigate to the Control Panel 
• Select Security Center (or in Windows 2000, select Automatice Updates) 
• Make appropriate selections for timing of updates and download instructions

Macintosh:

• To download Apple security update, select Software Update in System Preferences

Configure Macintosh Software Update to Run Automatically

It is recommended to configure your computer to download these updates automatically.

To configure Automatic Updates in Macintosh:

• Navigate to the System Preferences 
• Select Software Update Autmoatic Updates 
• Select the check box to Check for updates 
• Make appropriate selections for timing of updates and download instructions
