AGOT - Guidelines for Delegates

Delegate Guidelines

  • Delegates have the ablilty to setup or "sponsor" guest accounts.
  • Delegates must be authorized by the Technology Resources Security Officer.
  • It is important that the delegate review and follow the AGOT guidelines.  Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the termination of the delegate privilege.
  • The use of AGOT is for guests only.  Staff and Students are not to be setup on this network as it by-passes TCU computing practices and policies.
  • Please take care to fill-in all fields with reasonable information.  With changes in legislation (regarding CALEA -- Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act) we may be required to prove we do not provide open network access.  Accurately filling in all of the fields will help us document visits of Guests (as well as having the ablility to track potential issues).
  • Accounts created for AGOT are only good for seven days.  However, if a guest/vendor needs longer access, you have the ability to create another account and extend the use for an additional seven days.

How to setup a guest account

  • Use your web browser to go to https://wwwc.is.tcu.edu/agot
  • Logon with your network username and password.
  • Accurately enter the first and last name of the guest.
  • Enter the Length of Service up to 7 days.
  • Enter the Purpose of Visit which will be used for tracking purposes.
  • Click Submit.


  • After you have successfully created the account, you can Print the page with the Username and Password to give to the guest.
  • Click Create Another user or close the web browser if finished.


Support

 

Support of guest access accounts is the responsibility of the delegate.  The Information Commons Help Desk has been directed to send all questions regarding help and usage of AGOT to the appropriate delegate.
