Peoplesoft Financial Reports for MacintoshMacintosh users who need to run PeopleSoft Reports with the Drilldown function must use Remote Desktop (RDP) to connect to a terminal server.
Please contact the Help Desk at x6855 or help@tcu.edu to request permission to connect to windows.tcu.edu terminal server.
Remote Desktop Instructions
- Open Remote Desktop application located in your Applications folder
- Type or select the computer name: windows.tcu.edu and select the Connect button
- You will be connected to a Windows server. Enter your TCU username and password and TCU domain.

- Now that you are logged into a Windows Terminal Server, open Internet Explorer and login to http://my.tcu.edu/.
- Select the Budget Manager link to run reports and view financial data.
- More detailed information on running reports can be found here.
- When finished, don't forget to logoff. Click the Start button and select Log off.

Off Campus Connection to Windows Terminal Server
When off campus, you must make a VPN connection before opening your Remote Desktop application. Find your Macintosh OS version and select the appropriate documentation to setup a VPN connection:
Troubleshooting Tips
Activate Drilldown Add-In in Excel:
- Open Excel 2007
- Click the Office button, the round button in the upper left corner of the window
- Select Excel Options
- Choose Add-Ins from the left menu
- Click the Go button at the bottom of the Add-in window
- Click the Browse button
- Browse to y:\psoft\
- Double-click DrillToPIA.xla
- Check the DrillToPIA box and click OK
- Select Yes when prompted to copy DrillToPia to the Add-ins folder
- Exit from Excel
Clear Cache and Cookies in Internet Explorer:
- Select Tools from the menu
- Select Internet Options
- Under the General tab, click on the Delete button located under Browsing History
- Click the Delete files button and click Yes
- Click on the Delete Cookies button and click Yes
- Click Close and click OK to close the window
