Printer Setup for Macintosh OS 10.5

Printer Setup
  • Open the Apple Menu

     

  • Go to System Preferences

     

  • Select Print & Fax

     

  • Click the Lock to unlock

     

  • Enter your username and password credentials

     

  • Click on the + button to add a printer




  • Select the IP icon from the top menu bar

     

  • Protocol: Line Printer Daemon – LPD

     

  • Address: Enter the IP Address in the Address line

     

  • Print Using:  Select driver to use…

     

  • And select the printer model from the list

     

  • Click the Add button

     

  • **If the printer needs a driver, you can download it at hp.com



     

 

Printer Management

 

  • Choose Open Print Queue to see jobs in queue

     

  • Print jobs will be listed.  Use the Delete, Hold, or Resume icons to manage print jobs. 

     

  • If the printer queue is stopped, choose Resume Printer icon
