POP / IMAP Email Clients

Configuration:

 

Outlook Web Access (OWA), located at http://mail.tcu.edu, is the recommended email client for use by students. Faculty and staff accessing email from off-campus are also encouraged to use OWA for remote access. However, other POP3 or IMAP email clients can be configured to access TCU email accounts. For Example, Eudora, Netscape mail, and Outlook Express can all be setup to access TCU email.

 

To setup POP or IMAP email clients:

  • Find the configuration settings or setup for the particular application and enter your TCU account information.  
  • IMAP is preferred over POP3, but either may be utilized.
  • It is recommended to enable SMTP Authentification, if applicable.
  • If using an off-campus Internet Service Provider (ISP), please use the SMTP server address provided by the ISP or contact the ISP for assistance.

Real Name:    Super Frog 

 Account ID or Username:

  sfrog 

 Email Address:

  s.frog@tcu.edu 

 Incoming Server or POP3 Server:

  POP3.TCU.EDU or IMAP.TCU.EDU

 SMTP Host or Outgoing Server:

  SMTP.TCU.EDU
