Use this checklist to prepare your machine for the TCU Residence Hall network.

1. Verify that your computer has a network (Ethernet) card and network cable
   
   
2. Locate and register the network (Ethernet) address at http://my.tcu.edu/

3. If your computer has a wireless network card, locate and register the network address for the wireless card at http://my.tcu.edu/ 
   (more details here)
   
   
4. Pick up the ResNet CD from the HelpDesk and use it to install the TCU AntiVirus program (more details here) and setup the wireless network connection
   
   
5. Install and enable Windows/Mac Operating System Updates (more details here)
   
   
6. Read Safe Practices for Computing at TCU for additional information and protection
   
   
7. Locate your Operating System CD/Restore disk or order one from the manufacturer and bring to campus
