Windows Vista ResNet Network Setup
Step 1: Find your network (Ethernet) address in Windows Vista

- Click the Start button
- Type command in the search box and press enter
- Type ipconfig/all (with no spaces) at the command prompt and press enter
- Locate the physical address under Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection. Several connections may be listed. You may need to scroll up to find the correct one.
- Write down the address
Part 2: Register your Network (Ethernet) Address
- Login to http://my.tcu.edu/
- Click Helpful Links from the menu
- Choose the link: TCU Network Registration
- Carefully read the TCU Computing Resources Policy and click Accept to continue

- For Subnet, choose: Student-Wired
- Fill in Computer Operating System Type: Vista
- Fill in the network (Ethernet) address
- For My Description, write a short description for the computer registered, i.e. "Frog's Ethernet", for easy identification
- Click the Save button

Windows Vista ResNet setup is complete! No other configuration is required.
